Zion German Fest is on Saturday, October 7th from
11:00a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
As we celebrate 500 years of the Reformation, the
committee is providing a day of celebrating and fun at the
German Fest this year. The German Fest will take place in
the front parking lot of Zion. Look for the tent, join your
friends, and enjoy the fun for part of the day or the entire
Here is a list of fun things that you can do at German
11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Family Fun and Competition
LUNCH and SNACKS: The lunch menu includes
brats, premium brats from Smoking Goose, sauerkraut, chips, water, soda. You may
also purchase popcorn, cotton candy, and Ben’s soft pretzels.
FAMILY ACTIVITIES: Activities during the day include inflatables, hayrides, face
painting. Purchase your wristband for these items $5.00 per child or $10.00 for the entire
TOUCH A TRUCK / LOOK AT A TRUCK: Young and Old may come and tour many
different types of vehicles during the day. We welcome the Sugar Creek Township Fire
Department and their apparatus, Police vehicles, antique cars, farm equipment, work
equipment, and even a Hummer.
LEARN GERMAN IN AN HOUR: You are invited to learn the German alphabet in an
hour with Mr. Tressler. Lessons begin at 2:00 in front of the gym parking area. This is
available for everyone.
4:00 – 8:00 p.m. – Dinner and Music
Adult Dinner Tickets are $15.00 / Children’s Dinner Tickets are $6.00
The traditional Zion German Dinner Menu will be offered this year. Ribs and kraut,
sauerbraten, brats, ham, sauerkraut, German potato salad, red cabbage, green beans,
dessert, drinks, and much more. Dinner is served as an all-you-care-to-eat buffet. You
may pay with cash, check, or card.
MUSIC – Zion welcomes Bob Schlatter’s German Band from Lafayette, Indiana.
The band will entertain your family with some wonderful Polkas, Waltzes, and Marches
